PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of the project is to develop a new product by increasing private investment in research, development, innovation and strengthening the capacity of Pana WINDOWS d.o.o. for research, development and innovation through continuous collaboration with research institutions.

The project will procure equipment and services for conducting industrial research subject to effective collaboration and extensive knowledge dissemination and to hire professional staff. It contributes to the priority areas of the Smart Specialization Strategy of the Republic of Croatia for the period 2016-2020. Food, Bioeconomy, Energy and Sustainable Environment. It is planned to be realized in cooperation with Euroinspekt-drvokontrola d.o.o. Its implementation will help achieve excellence in industrial research, development and innovation, commercialization of new products, revenue and export growth, which will have a positive impact on the national economy.

OBJECTIVES AND EXPECTED RESULTS OF THE PROJECT:

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the development of new products, improve technological processes and strengthening the competitiveness of the economy through increased investment and capacity for research, development and innovation.

Specific objectives are to strengthen competitiveness and expand R&D capacity and innovation of Pana WINDOWS d.o.o. by conducting industrial research subject to effective collaboration and the extensive dissemination of knowledge that results in new knowledge, new products and improved technological processes.

The expected results are:
– Increased investment in R&D
– Purchased equipment for conducting industrial research
– Employing and training workers for R&D activities
– New product developed – wooden windows made of thermally treated wood
– Commercialization of a new product
– Significantly improved technological process
– Increase in annual production volume
– Increase in exports and profits
– Efficient use of resources and environmental protection
– Two patent applications
– Report project results to a wide public

Total project value:                        13.626.517,98 HRK
Eligible costs:                                    11.370.877,39 HRK
EU co-financing amount:             5.098.307,86 HRK

PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD:

from 19.5.2017. to 19.05.2020.

PROJECT TOTAL DURATION IN MONTHS:

36 months
